Celebrating Life & Offering Hope.
Loosing a loved-one is a very heartbreaking, yet inevitable experience. Imagine that you are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. How would your loved ones cope? How would your children handle it? I lost my mother in April 2013, and she was the first loved-one I've lost. I didn't know how to deal with my emotions. I wanted to be destructive and reckless because I was confused and angry. The Hospice Foundation of Buffalo was by my side. The professionals at Hospice taught me how to grieve and express my feelings in a healthy way.
My mission is to ensure that your nieces, nephews, and children will not be alone during such a life-changing experience.
Why hospice?
Hospice entered my life in April 2013, with the passing of my mother. Talking with the Hospice Caregivers was extremelly beneficial. The professionals at Hospice Buffalo helped me put my emotions into words and furthermore encouraged me to grieve in a positive and healthy way.
What is hospice?
"Hospice is a compassionate approach to care whose goal is to help people with serious illness live life fully, maintain their dignity and keep control over their lives." Hospice Buffalo
educate, recruit, uplift
I plan to educate the public of the wide range of situations where Hospice & Palliative Care is relevant across the globe. I will aspire to recruit compassionate volunteers and donors, while bringing light to the various roles needed to benefit Hospice. I will continue to uplift families who are in Hospice care by celebrating life, and offering hope.
