What's On My Face?

We all know skincare is important and having healthy skin is a priority for many of us. Not only is skin your body's largest organ, it also serves as the first barrier between your environment and your body. Because your skin is constantly growing, replacing old cells with new one, it's important to eat well and give yourself skin a little R&R once in a while. I've been told skin regenerates itself on a 28-day cycle. For those of us who enjoy facials, it's not a bad idea to get a facial once every 4-6 weeks. Sure facials are relaxing and can be luxurious, but giving your skin a breath of fresh air helps prevent scares, wrinkles, and acne. The best thing you can do for your skin is flush out those toxins, which means drink a lot of water!! It's also important to eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Sunscreen is also an absolute must, every single day! Here's a little sneak peak into what I use:

  1. Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer * With SPF 15 * : I apply this moisturizer every morning

  2. Nourish Organic Argan Face Serum : I apply this serum every night before bed – of course after showering, and wiping off all of my makeup with Neutrogena make-up remover towels

  3. Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse (Airbrush Finish) : I don’t wear foundation/concealer daily, but definitely for special nights out! I like this mousse because it feels light and allows my skin to breath

  4. Eminence Organic Raspberry Pore Refining Masque : I use this once, maybe twice a week because I have large pores and this refines and firms theskin

  5. Lush Fresh Hand-made Cosmetics Cup O’ Coffee Face Mask : I absolutely live by this face mask! Once or twice a week is good, but I use it more because it immediately makes my skin feel fresh and look amazing. Filled with ground coffee, kaolin, and agave syrup…I like the smell (coffee) but I absolutely understand how some people wouldn’t.

Much Love, Lia
