My Nightly Miss International Routine

Congratulations to the new Mrs. International - Priscilla Pruitt, from Wyoming! What an absolutely wonderful production the Mrs. International competition was. I was honored to sit in the front row and watch the top 10 women compete for the title! I can't wait to walk the stage next week!

Tonight I'd like to share my nightly routine while I'm here in Jacksonville! Prepping for competition night takes a lot of work, and here's a little sneak peek into my nightly habits. Keep in mind that although this is my routine, it will differ from your agenda! Specifically because we each have different types of skincare routines and we all have different methods of relaxing.

1) Hit the gym- Hair & Makeup appointments beginning as early as 4:30am meaning my gym time is limited to the evening. This is a great way to ensure a good sleep and shake out any stress I (may) experience.

2) That coffee scrub- Oh la la, J'adore my scrub. The purpose of my Lush Cosmetics coffee scrub is to rid any dirt build-up. This completely natural and organic scrub leaves my face feeling refreshed. I try not to scrub it in though, as over-exfoliation can cause skin damage.

3) Teeth Whitening Time- 15 Minutes under UV light leaves my teeth sparkly white - a must need for this week's photos & smiles!

4) Hello Hydration- My biggest skin problem is lack of hydration. I absolutely must stay hydrated this week to prevent makeup from looking caked-on! I lather on a good layer of moisturizer before I crawl into bed.

5) Drink Water- Flush out the toxins in your body, and rehydrate by having a glass of warm water.

6) Vitamins & Natural Supplements- So I take one multi-vitamin every day to make sure I'm staying healthy & my immune system can remain strong. I also take a natural digestive supplement (because I have serious digestive problems) that includes Acai Berry, Aloe vera Leaf, and Ginger. Although I take these supplements it's crucial to remember that the real difference lies within working out, and eating well!

7) Unwind & Relax- I either read a book, surf the web, or call a friend at the end of each night. Clearing your mind of the day's activities and tomorrow's to-do list is important for a good rest. Close your eyes, and get your beauty sleep!
