Must-Have Hotel Room Snacks for Every Pageant Girl

With competition week upon us I realize it will be difficult to keep up my healthy regime from inside the hotel room. Without a kitchen at your disposal, it's difficult to maintain your meal plans. I've created a list of the must-have snacks every pageant girl should keep in her hotel room.

1) Dried Fruit -The easiest grab-and-go healthy snack! Dried fruit has micronutrients and is loaded with antioxidants.

2) Real Fruit - Lounging in your hotel room after hair and makeup? Cut an apple into slices and dip into the peanut butter jar!

3) Granola Bars - It's extremely important that you're reading the nutritional information on the granola bars you choose. They are usually high in carbs which does not make for a good morning meal. Eating a high-carb breakfast may slow down your digestive system for the day and make you feel sluggish. I recommend Nature Valley or Kashi Bars.

4) Sports Bars - After your workout you'll want a high-protein granola bar. Again, if you have a morning workout stay away from the carbs!

5) Protein Drinks - I'm obsessed with muscle milk after my workouts. I also suggest Orgain Chocolate because it's packed with nutrients and tastes amazing! It's nice to keep these on hand if you're feeling worn-out.

6) Trail Mix - Choose trail mix over chips. Every time. You'll want something to much while you're relaxing in your room.

7) Peanut Butter - In case you need an emergency spoonful, or you like to dip your apples!
