Refresh Your Morning Routine

So although I open my eyes around 8am, I'm pretty sure I have a strange condition that prohibits me from leaving the house before 10am (for anything other than the gym).I do however, love the feeling of early rising on Saturday so I can fill my morning with as much productivity as possible, ensuring a stress-free weekend! So I'm going to share my top seven pieces of advice to help you wake up inspired, and refreshed!

1) Plan the night before

This is an easy way to ensure you'll be wearing a matching outfit. Nothing worse than waking up late, and grabbing whatever clothes are lying on your bedroom floor before rushing out the door. Wearing an unmatched, or disorganized outfit immediately puts a damper on my mood! So before you hit the sack, lay out your outfit for the next day. (Make sure it's ironed too...I hate ironing in the morning!)

2) Drink Warm water with lemon

I try to do this every morning. The warm water helps awaken my senses, and the lemon helps rid of toxins while activating your digestive system. Drinking warm lemon water before breakfast also helps your body absorb nutrients better.

3) Instagram Inspiration

Although I don't condone looking at your phone first thing in the morning. I typically take a quick peek at my favorite inspirational Instagram accounts before I get out of bed. A daily dose of motivational quotes and inspiring photos can go a long way!

4) UpLifting Music

Thank goodness for Spotify! Browse by 'mood' and you'll find my favorite morning playlist:Mood Booster. This is super simple, we all know listening to upbeat music helps our moods stay positive & everyone loves to jam out while they're brushing they're teeth.

5) Let there be Light

The absolute first thing I do when I step foot out of bed, is go directly to the windows and open up all of the blinds. Seeing a little sunshine inspires me to move a little faster so I can get outside sooner.

6) Workout

You saw that coming didn't you? Of course my favorite morning activity is working out. You may say going to the gym is tough in the morning, but you need to stop looking at it as something you do after you wake up, and start telling yourself you can't wake up until you've exercised. My body doesn't feel 100% awake and ready to conquer the day until I've got my glisten on (yes that was a reference to sweat).

7) Out the door Grab-and-Go

The last thing I do before I close the house door behind me, is toss a FitMiss Ignite and a protein bar into my bag. What is FitMiss Ignite you ask?
