5 Outdoor Workouts for the Anti-gym Gal!

1) Yoga in the Park
Gather up some girlfriends and meet by the playground. Get your stretching on in the park & you’ll catch some sun too!
2) Kayaking
Spend a day at Canalside observing all of the Silos. Then stop into Liberty Hound for a post workout lunch!
3) Hiking
Plan a date! Call your hubby and get out the bug spray. Western New York offers a ton of great hiking spots!
4) Swimming
This does not count as a workout if you’re floating on an inflatable slice of pizza, sipping a mojitio. Challenge your little sister to a lap race, or time yourself. The goal here is to feel like your heart rate is up & you’re challenging yourself.
5) Biking
If you’re in a bike-friendly city there are plenty of opportunities to make use of this exercise. Buffalo offers weekly outings with hundreds of riders (SlowRollBuffalo.org). This is a great time to get in your work out while traveling around the beautiful city!
