There are officially 30 days until the Miss International pageant, which means I have just under a month to finish all of my pageant prepping! So in light of this realization I thought I'd share my daily routine. Of course this doesn't reflect all of my pageant-prepping activities, but it does give a general look into my day!
Rise & Shine Gorgeous - It's another day closer to competition!
Every morning I spend two hours at the gym working on my health and my body. The first hour is spent with my personal trainer. He's created a vigorous workout routine to help tone and shape my body. Usually I'm pretty exhausted after, but I stay to finish my cardio routine. If I'm in the mood, I come back in the afternoon for a two-a-day. Once I've got my morning workout complete, I feel much more prepared to conquer the day! I always make sure I have a muscle milk to get that much needed protein. For breakfast I'll make a meal replacement shake or toasted bagel with peanut butter.
It's before 11:00am and I have already completed a great workout, breakfast, and I've showered! Now it's mid-morning and I plan my day. I spend thirty minutes prioritizing my to-do list. Some days my list consists of wardrobe fittings, grocery shopping, or volunteer work. I also take fifteen minutes to sift through my interview flashcards and think about my blog. Lastly, I always try to remember to take the dinner meat out of the freezer!
I spend an hour or two in the early afternoon writing future blog posts and curating ideas. I also take this time to catch up with friends / family and make plans for the weekend. This is also the perfect time to review my emails and plan future appearances.
If I'm really feeling good, I'll stop by the gym for some cardio in the early evening. Otherwise, I'm finally completing my errands for the day and can come home and start some laundry! My second favorite part of the day is cooking dinner. I get my HomeChef recipe out and start chopping those fresh vegetables! I always eat a high protein dinner to compliment my heavy workout regime. Dinner usually chicken breast, salmon, or sometimes pork chops. All said and done I'm very careful about what I put into my body because I want to make sure I'm staying healthy and complimenting my workout. My diet has been reviewed and recommended by a nutritionist so I know I'm making healthy decisions. Beginning in July my diet will become less lenient to accommodate my personal goals for the upcoming pageant.
The sun is finally setting as evening arrives. I spend time reading a motivational book to clear my mind and get me into a relaxed mood. Then the real pageant prep begins. At least one hour reviewing potential interview questions on top of planning wardrobe, reviewing the necessities for pageant week, and making more to-do lists!
And Voila! That's a sneak peak into Miss New York International's daily routines, so let's review:
1) Workout
2) Eat a healthy breakfast
3) Practice interview questions
4) Update Social Media/Blog
5) Plan upcoming appearances / volunteer opportunities
6) Make a healthy dinner that helps me meet my personal goals for the pageant
7) Read a book
8) Practice interview questions again / review other pageant items / plan ahead!
